2008 Food Vendor Information

We have listed some of the rules and regulations you will be required to follow when participating in the Fair:

Daily sales reports and payments are to be delivered to the Progress Building-Show Office between 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Important information to remember:

We will require a copy of your certificate of insurance noting $2,000,000 in third party liability and naming the Western Fair Association, the Corporation of the City of London added as additional insured from the period of September 2 - 15, 2008, inclusive.

MOVE-OUT DATES AND HOURS:

It is important that you inform and make the necessary arrangements with your staff and maintenance people.

Move-out will commence at the close of the Fair, approximately Midnight on Sunday, Sept. 15th.

And include Monday, September 16th from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. only.

(All materials must be removed by 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16th)

AUDITING: To ensure fairness and proper reporting of sales, spot auditing of food operations will be carried out with cash register tapes being requested. All sales are to be recorded and proper procedures followed. Your full cooperation with our auditors is expected.

Mon, Tues, Wed September 8, 9, & 10 - 3:00 pm - Close
Thurs, Fri September 11& 12 -12 Noon - Close
Sat,Sun September 13& 14 - 11:00 am - Close

INSIDE:
Fri, Sat, Sun September 5, 6 & 7 - 11:00 am - 10:00 pm (excl West Annex)
Mon, Tues, Wed September 8, 9 & 10 - 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun September 11, 12, 13 & 14 - 11:00 am - 10:00 pm

West Annex booths stay open until 11:00 pm daily, except final Sunday it's 10:00pm

Security will be monitoring the Patio Cafe access until 2:00 am

CLEANLINESS, APPEARANCE AND ATTITUDE OF EMPLOYEES/VOLUNTEERS:

All employees should be clean, shaven and well groomed. If possible, operators should provide uniforms. Outside food concessionaires may purchase t-shirts at the Midway Office.

Employee appearance will be closely monitored and you will be informed if improvement is needed during the fair.

No Smoking While On Duty - will be strictly enforced and subject to the City of London By-Laws!

All local and provincial health and safety regulations must be strictly adhered to. You will be notified of any mandatory health and safety meetings.

For those bringing in trailers or RV's, the tentative charges are as follows and are subject to change:

On Grounds (permission only):
Bunk or house trailers 0-35' ($25.00/day)
Bunk or house trailers over 35' ($35.00/day)
$70.00 per car or rig, for Fair
Stock trailers, any size ($15.00/day)

Offsite:
House trailers ($15.00/day)
Stock trailers $8.00/day (limited space)
$5.00/day per car or rig, for Fair


The operator of the vehicle(s), including your employees, must submit to the Midway Office by the first Sunday of the Fair the following information: type of vehicle (trailer-house or stock, rig or car), length of vehicle, license number and the date of arrival on the grounds. Any vehicle not reported will either be removed or charged double the rate.

Payment is required upon arrival.
