The 68th Annual Western Fair Farm Show, located on the Western
Fairgrounds runs – Wednesday, March 8, 2006 and Thursday,
March 9, 2006 – 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Friday,
March 10, 2006 – 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is
$10.00 and children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied
by an adult.
The FARM SHOW boasts an average of 20,000 visitors over three
days, and has more than 270 exhibitors. The latest information,
products and services specific to farming can all be seen
under one roof.
The Western Fair Association, in conjunction with several
agriculture members, instituted the Middlesex Agriculture
Hall of Fame. This distinction recognizes the history and
tradition of agriculture in Middlesex County. Previous inductees
include: Fred A. Lewis, George White and Sir Charles Edward
Saunders. This year’s inductees are:
Inductees will be honoured at the Hall of Fame Luncheon on
Wednesday, March 8, 2006, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Agriplex
Lobby. At this luncheon we will unveil the new Wall of Fame,
which has been moved from its original location in the Progress
Building lobby to its new home in the Agriplex. Tickets are
$20.00 (taxes included), and can be purchased by contacting
Hugh Fletcher at (519) 666-1572.
With each paid admission you will receive a ballot for a
chance to win one of the two $1,000 shopping sprees at TSC
Stores. To be eligible to win, the ballot must be completed,
stamped at all designated show locations and dropped in one
of the ballot boxes located throughout the show. The draw
will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2006. Winners
will be contacted by phone.
The Ontario Farm Animal Council (OFAC) and AGCare (Agricultural
Groups Concerned About Resources and the Environment) are
returning this year to the Western Fair Farm Show!!!
This hands-on activity centre for you & your children
will be located in the Progress Building next to the cafeteria.

The Ontario Farm Animal Council is the voice for animal agriculture,
representing
over 40,000 livestock and poultry farmers, associations and
businesses on issues in animal agriculture such as animal
care, food safety, biotechnology and the environment.
AGCare (Agricultural Groups Concerned About Resources and
the Environment)
provides science-based information and policy initiatives
on environmental issues on behalf of Ontario's 45,000 field
and horticultural crop producers.

Speaker Program
This year we are very fortunate to have Ward Skinner as our
feature speaker. Mr. Skinner has been providing help and assistance
to people in over 1000 businesses since 1979. He has affiliations
with Ontario Retail Equipment Dealers Association, Canadian
Society of Safety Engineers and the International Audit and
Training Certification Association just to name a few.

The sessions will take place on Wednesday March 8th and Thursday
March 9th at 2:00 p.m. in the Progress Building.

agricultural innovations. This year’s theme is “We
Treat You Right" and the display is devoted to proper
seed treatment and related technologies.
