Before the youngsters take to the track, a couple of veterans
are set to steal the spotlight!
Aspiring racing fans, Zena Currie, 12, and Nissa Bannister,
10, both of Ailsa Craig, ON will be performing the national
anthem at Western Fair Raceway’s most prestigious night
of harness racing. Friday, May 27. Both girls will be singing
a cappella, trackside at approximately 7:15 p.m. before the
races begin. Zena and Nissa have previously sung at hockey
games in the Parkhill, ON area and have entered in local talent
contests. Western Fair Raceway is pleased that the 2005 Molson
Canadian Pace night will be added to their resume.
The festivities of the night begin with a post time of 7:30
p.m. and continue throughout the evening. The national anthem
performance and the evening’s races will be broadcast
across North America via Western Fair Raceway’s simulcast
signal.
