TOP 5 Things to do on Opening Weekend of the Western Fair

In a city where families have just finished fighting back-to-school crowds for last minute deals and schedules will revolve around work, school, sports, music, dance and homework, an event that boasts Human Cannonballs, 500 lb Alligators, aerial acrobatics, racing pigs, Wheels of Death, longhorn cattle, Texas Trick-riders, walking robots, deep fried cheese, international entertainment and cuisine, one-man bands, quilts, canned goods, cakes and crafts, is something you might want to squeeze into your schedule…right?

On Friday, September 8, the Western Fair will open its gates in London, Ontario, marking the end of summer, the start of another school year, 110 days till Christmas and the beginning of new adventures for the whole crew at the 131st annual Western Fair.
