The Western Fair Association will announce a series of monetary
donations to a number of local organizations at the annual
Western Fair, September 9-18, 2005. The funds will be donated
from Western Fair’s Community Enhancement Fund, established
from a 1% collection of slot machine revenue. The first two
recipients of five are Ridgetown College and the London Food
Bank. The Ridgetown College donation will be made at the President’s
Luncheon at 1:15 pm on Friday, September 9, and The London
Food Bank’s donation will be announced following the
luncheon, on the Xerox Park Stage at 2:00 pm, after an official
welcome from City of London Mayor, Anne Marie Deccico.
Three other major donations will be announced throughout
the Fair (September 9-18). Watch for media updates announcing
these events.
