The Western Fair Association will hand over a $5,000 donation
to The Shedden Agricultural Society in front of thousands
of Jo Dee Messina fans. Representatives for the Shedden Agricultural
Society, along with Western Fair’s President Denny Lang,
will address the audience and make the announcement just prior
to Jo Dee taking the stage.
The $5,000 cheque will provide the funds needed to upgrade
the electrical service to the Shedden Agricultural Barn as
well as providing new pole lighting for laneways and soccer
fields on the fairgrounds. Western Fair is pleased to support
a fellow agricultural society and hopes that donations like
this one continue to promote agricultural education and awareness
in south-western Ontario.
The funds for this donation come from the Western Fair’s
Community Enhancement Fund, established from a 1% collection
of slot machine revenue.
Two more major donations will be announced throughout the
Fair (September 9-18). Watch for media updates announcing
these events.
