At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Western Fair Association, elections took place and the Association is happy to announce our newly elected officers and confirmed members within the following governing bodies.

Chair Board of Governors
Representing the London Transit Commission and Kiwanis Club of Forest City
Jack Davis was elected to the Western Fair Association’s Board in 2000 and has been a Civic member since 1998 representing the London Transit Commission. Jack is the owner of Jack E. Davis Holdings and operates as a Municipal Planning Consultant. Jack has served on all Association committees.

Member At Large
Alan Marr was elected to the Western Fair Association’s Board in 2000 and has been a Member at Large since 1997. Alan is a Dorchester area farmer, who has served two-terms as Warden of the County of Middlesex (1996/1997). Alan is a former Board member of the London/Middlesex Children’s Aid Society and was the 2002 Queen’s Jubilee Medal Recipient recognizing community/municipal involvement and contribution. Alan has served on Western Fair Association’s Executive and Finance, Agricultural Programming and Fair Planning committees as well as Chairing the successful Volunteer Program Committee

Oversees the budgeting, planning and operation of the Association’s signature event, the annual Western Fair.

- At the same meeting, financials for the year ending June 30, 2008 were presented. Year round operations produced a net surplus of $1.68 million up 10% over last year.
