With 50 vendors set to go for Saturday, December
2, 2006 in the Confederation Building on the Western Fairgrounds,
and products ranging from the finest in fresh produce, fruits,
vegetables, meats, cheese, baked goods, specialty meats,
flowers, eggs, dry goods, handicrafts and more - you won't
want to miss the newest shopping experience in London.
London’s Farmers Market will provide
Londoners with the opportunity to purchase fresh produce
and other unique homemade products directly from local producers.
Vendors will be local farmers and artisans offering an array
of products that will allow customers to do most of their
shopping at the market on Saturdays. The market will be
open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the atmosphere will
be a big draw on Saturdays throughout the year. London’s
Farmers Market will run year-round, except for the two Saturdays
of the annual Western Fair and the weekend of the Home and
Garden Show.
“This market will make a significant
contribution to the London community,” says Hugh Mitchell,
Western Fair Association’s Chief Operating Officer.
“Farmer’s Markets are an agricultural industry
and Western Fair Association, as an Agricultural Society,
always wants to support and promote agriculture in our community.
London’s Farmers Market is another unique addition
to the landscape of the Fairgrounds and is a strategic community
based initiative for the Association that provides Londoners
with the opportunity to discover new products and purchase
high quality made-in-London and area, food and crafts,"
he added.
