Mr. Denny Lang , President of the Western Fair Association Board of Directors was elected to the C.A.F.E. Board of Directors for a three-year term, representing volunteers and fairs throughout Canada.
Mr. Lang has served the past two years as Western Fair's 1 st Vice President, and was elected as President of the Board this past August. He has been a Director of Western Fair since 1994 and formerly held the position of Director of Human Resources and Public Relations for GM Diesel.
Western Fair colleagues receive Distinguished Service Awards at C.A.F.E.
Ms. Jan Delaney , Western Fair Board Member and Past President, received a Distinguished Service Award at this years C.A.F.E. Convention held in Vancouver, British Columbia, in appreciation for her dedication and service to the Canadian Fair and Exhibition Industry . Ms. Delaney is also the President of the Better Business Bureau of Western, Ontario.
Ms. Anne Eadie , Western Fair Community Development Manager, also received a Distinguished Service Award for helping Canadian Youth achieve their dreams . Ms. Eadie has been involved with the Youth Talent Competition both locally and nationally for 24 years and this award recognizes her efforts and accomplishments. The Youth Talent Competition celebrates the performing arts talents of Canada's youth (13 - 21) in fourteen zones across Canada. Participants perform their way from the local fair to the provincial zone level and then on to the National Finals.
