London Wine & Food Show 2007

DEMONSTRATION & SEMINAR DETAILS

DAIRY FARMERS OF CANADA

"All you need is Cheese" - Andre Piche with Dairy Farmers of Canada will be in the Dairy Farmers of Canada Seminar Room all weekend speaking.

Sunday at 12:30pm, 2:30pm & 4:00pm

There will be a seminar given to the audience on how to organize a Wine & Cheese evening given by a cheese expert.  They will teach you how to prepare and preserve cheeses, the differences between the crusts and textures of cheeses as well as the marriage of cheese and wine.

Average seminar will be 30 minutes to 40 minutes in duration.  They will also distribute Wine & Cheese brochures, pamphlets, sponsors and corporate material.

CHEF ANTHONY SEDLAK

Chef Anthony Sedlak Host of The Main on Food Network, will be on the Food Network Stage at 1:00pm & 3:00pm.

Anthony grew up in North Vancouver, BC and started in the hospitality industry at age thirteen, working as a bus boy at Grouse Mountain Resorts Ltd. Anthony's first taste of the kitchen was working as Line Cook, where he was soon promoted to Production Cook. By 15, Anthony became the youngest cook ever to be proficient on all stations at the restaurant. He has enjoyed great success at the resorts high-end restaurant, The Observatory, working his way up from second cook to first cook and then Chef de Partie, all the while completing the Culinary Art Program at Carson Graham Secondary School in North Vancouver. Anthony represented Canada at the Hans Bueschken World Junior Chef Challenge in Auckland, New Zealand, March 2006.

Anthony will be preparing Oven Roasted Clams with Chorizo and Fingerling Potatoes.

VINTAGES “LCBO”

Stephen Ward, LCBO Product Consultant, Sarnia will be in our Tasting Seminar Room at 1:30pm to speak on “Starting a Wine Cellar, how, why... ”.

When starting a wine cellar, there are a few do's and do not's. With the help of our product expert, you will learn how to properly cellar wine, and, see how to reap the rewards of a little patience.

AROMA MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT

Chef Robert Catton will be on the Food Network Stage at 2:00pm.

Robert will take you on a Mediterranean Journey while he prepares one of the restaurants big cellers.

STEAM WHISTLE BREWING

Good Beer Folk presented by Chris Goddard. Steam Whistle will be in our Tasting Seminar Room from 3:30pm - 4:15pm.

Host Chris Goddard will be doing a sampling of Steam Whistle Pilsner and chatting about how beer is made and what you should look for in beer. He will take seminar participants on a step by step break down of what they are tasting and what creates those flavours. He will also talk about the history o f the brewery and the Roundhouse they brew in Toronto.
