London Wine & Food Show 2008

DEMONSTRATION & SEMINAR DETAILS

Friday, January 18, 2008 4pm - 10pm

FAIRINGS GRILLE - OLG SLOTS AT WESTERN FAIR

Chefs from the Fairings Grille will be on the Food Network Stage from 5:00pm - 5:45pm preparing some of their favourites.

DAIRY FARMERS OF CANADA

"All you need is Cheese: - Andre Piche with Dairy Farmers of Canada will be in the Dairy Farmers of Canada Seminar Room all weekend speaking.

Friday at 4:30pm, 6:30pm & 8:30pm

There will be a seminar given to the audience on how to organize a Wine & Cheese evening given by a cheese expert. They will teach you how to prepare and preserve cheeses, the differences between the crusts and textures of cheeses as well as the marriage of cheese and wine.

Average seminar will be 30 minutes to 40 minutes in duration. They will also distribute Wine & Cheese brochures, pamphlets, sponsors and corporate material.

VINTAGES “LCBO”

Gail Martin, LCBO Product Consultant, London will be in our Tasting Seminar Room from 6:00pm - 6:45pm to speak on a special "Ladies Night".

When women get together for conversation and fun, wine naturally complements the gatherine. Having a "Ladies Night Out" is a great way to catch up with friends and to explore new wine regions and styles. Champagne is always in fashion when it comes to starting such an evening, seamlessly leading into traditionally romantic Old World wines, as well as fresh and sassy New World selections.

Whether you're reflecting on the silver lining of being single, or gushing about your kind-hearted spouse, our product expert will lead you on a journey of Discovery to help you find the ideal wines for your next "Ladies Night Out".

CHEF ANTHONY SEDLAK

Chef Anthony Sedlak Host of The Main on Food Network, will be on our Food Network Stage from 7:00pm - 7:45pm.

Anthony grew up in North Vancouver, BC and started in the hospitality industry at age thirteen, working as a bus boy at Grouse Mountain Resorts Ltd. Anthony's first taste of the kitchen was working as Line Cook, where he was soon promoted to Production Cook. By 15, Anthony became the youngest cook ever to be proficient on all stations at the restaurant. He has enjoyed great success at the resorts high-end restaurant, The Observatory, working his way up from second cook to first cook and then Chef de Partie, all the while completing the Culinary Art Program at Carson Graham Secondary School in North Vancouver. Anthony represented Canada at the Hans Bueschken World Junior Chef Challenge in Auckland, New Zealand, March 2006.

Anthony will be preparing Slow Roasted Pork Chops with Braised Lentils & Warm Apple Compote.

DEE BRUN

Dee will be in our Tasting Seminar Room from 8:00pm - 8:30pm.

Dee will be kick'n it up with the ladies as she talks about her book Libations of Life: A Girl's Guide to Life, One Cocktail at at time which coincidently just received a GOURMAND WORLD COOKBOOK AWARDS 2007.

Dee will also be preparing some tasty drinks from her book...to name a few..."He's a Mamas boy", "He called me by his ex's name" and "Please don't stalk me".

Ladies, get ready for an abdominal workout from all of the laughs!
